5 Signs You’re Not Over Your Ex

By Dating | Jul 11, 2010

So, you just have a breakup and basically go through all the types of conflicting advice such as having a rebound fling, rest for a week, eat plenty of food, go shopping and have a spending spress. You may even start dating other guys and have been going town on a dating spree. But at the end of all these where you enjoyed the new found freedomg, you feel something is bothering you ie, he/she still lingers in you thoughts. So how do you really know if it it all over.

Here are 5 signs that you’re not over him:
1. Everything reminds you of him.
“Your song”will break your heart everytime it is aired in that favorite radio station of yours. You have so many things that you wanted to tell him and see his expressions. Afterall, you have been doing that for the last few years right.

Recomendation : Forget the list and stop putting energy in the past. Start bonding with the people now in your life like your close friends. You will get used to it eventually.
2. You’re lashing out in public forums.
We know twitter and facebook is a way of life now and is a place where you air your opinion. Yet, it is not a good idea to be talking about him openly and with a false hope that he will come back.
Recommendation : Get your inspiration for public opinon else where. Look towards friends, music etc.  Maybe even that new date yesterday.
3. You’re overcompensating.
You doll yourself up or get into the best suit in the hope that you will run into him. You wanna make him regret in losing you by seeing how gorgeous you are.
Recommendation : Forget about dressing for him. It is you that matters. Do not imagine about him’s expression when you look at your best.
4. You have no interest in that dude giving you the eye.
You have men throwing themselves at you left and right, eager to love the pain away. But all those guys seem pretty repulsive right now. When your ex calls, however, you pick up right away. (What? It could be important!)
Recommendation : Try chatting up a new guy. You never know what could happen…
5. You compare everyone to him.
And come on. Stop comparing that new hot dude to your ex and make dude looks like a pig.
Recommendation : Start dating someone and recognize that date as just himself. Measure him on his merits.

Dating site Redhotpie misleading

By Dating | Nov 15, 2009

Redhotpie.com.au which is operated by Jetplace pty ltd , an australian dating site appears to have engaged in misleading conducts by creating fake profiles and sent messages to users. This is really not ethical viewing it as paid consumer myself.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has started Federal Court proceedings against Jetplace Pty Ltd – the operator of the website www.redhotpie.com.au and the hearing will begin in December this year.

Reason that they are doing this is nothing more but to engage user in the website and ask them to upgrade their memberships level in order to be able to interact.

The 2 directors should just focus on proper marketing. My dating site do not have such issue. So this is really a case of a black sheep.

Good job to the consumer watchdog.

Four ( 4 ) online dating tips

By Dating | Nov 14, 2009

I took online dating for a ride as it is on of the big thing that is in current trend. This is coupled with the fact that I was single with little female friends and compounded with the relentless advertising from those big websites.
After reading similar tips from another dating blog, here is my 2 cents worth of writings.

I scour the site for interesting profiles with little luck needless to say. A lot of the women online are making very basic mistakes that is making most guys close the profile. Here are the four most common offenses

1. Don’t pose for pictures. That is what the other author say. For me, it will be a case of placing a nice decent picture with good lighting. Do not use studio pics nor one with your super pouting lips. A little makeup is acceptable. After all, first impressions last.

2. Don’t complain about the last guy. The author is referring that those profiles that he encounter uses the site to complain about past boyfriends. For me, it is those ” I am a simple person looking for someone nice, loyal blah blah”. Come on ladies, what is so interesting about such a girl that will make u want to write ? Write something nice that intrigues and allows me to send a wink as a minimum. Close up your profile with someting like ” write to me if you believe that we can click. No reply guarantees but will certainly try to do so.”

3. Don’t overshare. Well. This is about overproiling. For me, do it with a twist and enough intruinging details. Need not write too much including grandmother stories.

4. Don’t make your pet a focal point. Well this ain’t a problem for my dating site. However, it does bother me when those ladies do not write anything except work, books reading etc. I am looking for a partner to share my life and activities. These type of profiles give me a dead-end feeling. Who will want to drive themself to a dead-end. And for guys, stop raving about your new car. It is tantamount to the pet.

Carrie Prejean 30 photos and 7 videos

By Dating | Nov 14, 2009

Wow. The saga of Miss former California , Carrie Prejean is still quite a hot topic. From Radaronline.com, they found 30 pictures, mostly topless and 8 topless videos of her playing with kitty (aka pu&$$) sent to the guys she liked. How she do it? The traiditional mirror and plain naivety and stupidity is what i will say.
And it is probably due to be released, once Vivid Entertainment manage to get Prejean to sign on a deal. And legaiity, well she is over 18 years old and being plain stupid. And i believe that it wont end here. Keep digging guys.

Virtual Dating Game

By admin | Feb 20, 2009

It is said that singles the world over are increasingly on the prowl for dates over the Internet through dating websites. But all of them are not that lucky to secure a date for themselves as easily as they would like it to be. Besides, dating websites cost money most of the time. But cheer up! All is not lost. When real time dating is not practicable due to some reason or other, meeting that ?someone? virtually may be the next best thing to do. Virtual dating game is all about such meeting.

Virtual dating game, in fact, is an alternative to the real dating game which some people find to be very tedious. It is true that there is nothing comparable to meeting somebody in person. In contrast, virtual dating is quite entertaining and safe. You do not have to go out to play the virtual dating game. Comfortably ensconced in your chair at home, you can engage in this. It saves a lot of trouble to you vis-a-vis the traditional method.

Many people have spent long hours playing the virtual dating game on their computers without feeling tired because of the extremely entertaining nature of the game. The game gives you opportunity to meet, talk, ask for a phone number, make a call and arrange a date. In other words, the game will allow you to do everything you would do in real life if you were dating someone for the first time. All this is done virtually but it seems very realistic. That is the difference.

Speaking of pros and cons of virtual dating game, I feel it is more advisable to dwell on the positive side of it rather than the negative side because the pros outweigh the cons. Playing the virtual game gives you valuable experience to avoid making mistakes over and over again when going about dating in real life. It polishes up your knowledge about dating giving you ideas about how to do everything right.

Finally, though I do not wish to end this short article on a negative note, won?t it be fair to look at it in a correct perspective? As regards dating, what will be your decision when it comes to a choice between the age old method of meeting face-to-face or resorting to the online dating websites? No matter what your reply is, but when it comes to playing the virtual dating game, enjoy yourself fully.

Dating Advise

By admin | Feb 19, 2009

Dating advice is all over the internet, in magazines, books, newspapers and on TV. There?s even an eight year old who wrote a book filled with great dating advise. That kid is pretty smart and must be really good with the girls, because while basic, all of his dating advise rings true. And that?s it really ? when it comes to dating, keep things simple.

Leave your past behind. There?s a reason it?s called the past. Anyone you get dating advise from will tell you that to have even one successful date, you need to dump all your baggage and start afresh. Talking to your date about how your ex mistreated you is definitely not the way forward. Sometimes it isn?t even necessary to talk, and a person who has been hurt once may be over suspicious of any new relationship and this could show in their attitude toward their date.

Dating advise pointer number 2, is be yourself. Sure, people like to put their best foot forward, and impress their date, but if they aren?t their usual selves, not only would they feel uncomfortable, but their date would pick up on the vibes as well.

Another useful bit of dating advise is to manage your expectations. If you expect too much out of one date, or of the person you are dating, it?s bound to be disappointing. Even your date is just human, and first dates are notorious for disasters.

A frequently asked question is who foots the bill? Most givers of dating advise agree in principle on this one, that it is the person who initiates the date that pays. However, some people insist that it?s better to go Dutch every time and avoid complications. There?s another school of dating advise thought though, that insists that the man pays for every date. The best thing to do in this case would be to settle for something that you and your date are both comfortable with.

Texting your date before meeting is also a good idea as it puts him or her at ease and allows you to discuss interests, hobbies in an informal and less tense environment than a first date would be. That would allow you to use this as common ground when things get awkward (as they generally do on the first few dates unless there?s an instant ?click?) and get the conversation going.

The most important bit of dating advise though, is to remember that no one date is a deal-breaker. If you get it wrong on the first date, you can always try again. If it still doesn?t work, there are always other people to date.
